Happy Friday to everyone. We are soaking in the sun and enjoying the laid back attitude on Chincoteague Island on the Eastern Shore. It’s the best place to unwind and unplug from the hectic daily routines. We are eating the freshest seafood, and lots of ice cream at the Island Creamery. Must visit lunch spots are the “Sea Star Cafe” and “Woody’s”. Be sure to try them if you make a visit here. You can thank me later. For an adventure, we went kayaking today and saw the wild ponies of Assateague up close and personal. It was a great workout for my arms as well. Now, I won’t feel badly about eating more ice cream! Check out more of the action at the Carnival here, here and here. I hope you are enjoying the Summer days wherever you are. Make it a bright bold and beautiful one, cheers!
The flowers on Chincoteague are some of the most vibrant I have ever seen. You can see beautiful hydrangeas and gorgeous rose gardens along the side streets and blooming containers gardens line Main street as you stroll through the cute shops.
Stop by Ricky’s Seafood and Produce for fresh vegetables and seafood. He is also an amazing rose gardener, as you can see below. I need some tips from him.
If you are looking for a fun getaway, we do rent our condo here at Sunset Bay. It’s a three bedroom waterfront villa on the Chincoteague Bay right on main street. For reservations, call Harbour Rentals 757-336-5490 and be sure to mention BB&B for a special gift www.harbourrentals.net. Ask for “Chincoteague Getaway on the Bay” #207. Boat slips available, so bring your boat!
