Home Tours – Audra Boardman
As you enter Audra’s exquisitely decorated home, you instantly feel welcome. Her choice of rich colors in the stately dining room, floor to ceiling draperies, mirrors and gold accents are nothing but glamorous.
As we make our way to the kitchen, I am immediately drawn to the custom kitchen cabinet design. The kitchen colors are cheerful, light and airy. Blues and greens against a creamy yellow color are always a winning combination.
You can tell that this is where the action is day to day. The nice and sturdy kitchen stools from Ballard Designs get a lot of use from her three children. Behind the counter, the sun pours in and rests on the comfortable bench seat cushions. What a cozy spot!
I love a corner window seat, and these colorful pillows add style to this perfect cozy nook.
The open kitchen design flows right into a romantic reading room. Delicious chocolate brown and soothing blues make for a peaceful setting. Audra states, “We use this room all of the time. It’s the perfect spot to unwind and read the paper.”
If you have been following BB&B for a while, you know that I am quite obsessed lately with bookshelf styling. Audra has quite the flair for it and I picked up some fabulous ideas. The backdrop of her bookshelf is lined with a neutral linen wallpaper. It’s all in the details, and this is a gorgeous touch!
The family room is full of life with colorful reds, lime greens and yellows. This room feels like family. I love how Audra mixes her children’s beautiful artwork in with her art collection. I could spend all day in this delightful space.
I love Thibaut wallpaper, and this bathroom is extraordinary. Period.
The formal living room looks as if it was decorated for the luxurious pages of Elle Decor magazine. The silky neutral tones, mirrored furniture and designer fabrics are all put together so beautifully.
Grab your ideas for your coffee table styling too. The books are arranged to read at every angle.
As I walked outside, I noticed the sweet “B” Pottery Barn monogrammed pillows. Thank you Audra for such a lovely day. I am truly inspired and know others will be too.
