Are you an “Etsian”? Etsy states, “Etsy is more than a marketplace: we’re a community of artists, creators, collectors, thinkers and doers.” I love being part of the Etsy community, and have been since Dec 2008. Tomorrow, August 24th is the Richmond Etsy Craft party at Quirk Gallery for local Etsians. The theme is “Wish You Were Here” and everyone can bring their own themed craft to work on and share with others. I am excited to see who’s there, and will certainly bring back lots of information about what I learned {and made!}

Craft Party is a global celebration of meeting and making. It’s a time to get to know your neighbors and exercise your creative spirit. Craft Parties take place around the world when communities come together to participate in art, craft, design and DIY in every form.
