Happy Weekend. BB&B participated in a Pottery Barn Challenge. The contest is full of brunch, lunch and/or  alfresco dinner party ideas. It will open for your vote on the Pottery Barn Facebook Page August 9th. {If you like what you see, I sure would appreciate the vote for BB&B}. We chose “an alfreso affair” because hosting an alfresco dinner is relaxing, casual and fun. We filled the table with beautiful sunflowers along with greens and blues that blended with the natural setting. Here is a sneak peak. As you can tell, we couldn’t wait to dig in after the photo shoot! More about the contest next week.

A couple of things. I finished the book Outliers: The Story of Success and cried when it was over. “In this stunning new book, Malcolm Gladwell takes us on an intellectual journey through the world of “outliers”–the best and the brightest, the most famous and the most successful. He asks the question: what makes high-achievers different?” I thought it was quite coincidental that I picked up that particular book during the Summer 2012 Olympics. Anyway, I will write a more in depth post about this amazingly inspirational book that I highly recommend to all parents. Gladwell is not saying that all of our children will be the brightest and/or compete in the Olympics. Instead, this book is about working hard, and giving your children the opportunities to have a meaningful life.
