We arrived in New York City last night and stayed in the brand new and very chic Flatiron Hotel. I am rooming with my great friends Kirsten Nease from Richmond and Lisa Mende from Charlotte. We are having the best time and catching up with each other!  Located at 9 West 26th Street, the Flatiron is steps from trendy Chelsea shops and cafes and Flatiron District landmarks. The Flatiron Hotel is perfectly situated in the who’s who of hip New York neighborhoods. Also within walking distance are the Theatre District, Empire State Building, Penn Station, Madison Square Garden, and famous Midtown attractions. The Empire State Building is .2 miles away. We ate at a fabulous Mexican restaurant called Dos Caminos located on Park Avenue between 26th and 27th Streets. Then back to the hotel for a good night’s sleep in preparation for an amazing 3 day event at Blogfest2012. The Flatiron lobby is complete with a 2 story fish tank in the center with the beautiful staircase wrapped around it.
