Is it Friday again? Time flies when you are on vacation… We have had fun in the sun, on the sky wheel, seen some shows and now back home. Our cat, Ellie missed us terribly too! It’s good to be back in the familiar routine especially when you turn around and it’s the weekend! I wanted to share these photos of a gorgeous Summer home in Nantucket from Traditional Home. When Trudy Dujardin, a New England designer and her husband, Frank Fasanella, toured a 2,600-square-foot cottage on the western tip of Nantucket Island, they knew they’d found their summer home. Trudy and Frank were captivated by the scenic location, sandwiched between Madaket Harbor and the Atlantic Ocean—the beach for watching sunsets, according to Nantucket travel guides.

My favorite room is this nautical sitting area with the crab pillows, framed bathing suit and red and white captains chair. So great!

I lived on Nantucket for two summers {a while back that is} and they were some of the best times of my life. So many memories of working at The Lobster Trap, sunning on Madaket Beach, and frequenting the Boarding House on cool evenings… That is why I love the book Barefoot and other books by Elin Hilderbrand. When reading, I can picture myself walking down Main Street like it was yesterday. I need to get back there soon.
