Thanksgiving is a time to be grateful for all we have. My next guest host in the “I am thankful for…” series is the lovely Sarah of La Maison Boheme. I would like to add that I am personally thankful that I found Sarah’s blog ~ she is truly an inspiration for us all and I wish nothing but the best for her and her family… Sarah, I am thankful for you!

Really, Laura? I have to narrow the universe’s barrage of blessings down to three? That’s a tall order! Now that 2011 is drawing to a close, I look back and am acutely aware of the many gifts in my life. But if I have to choose, here are the three things
I’m most thankful for:
Nature: Every day, I am overwhelmed by the natural beauty that surrounds us. It makes the business of living infinitely more interesting, mysterious and meaningful.

Love: My marriage is the center of my world and from that foundation my husband and I have been gifted with the most marvelous children. These two small people are a constant source of brimming joy, wonderment and creativity. I am so grateful for the chaos, connection and clarity they bring into my life.

The Unknown: My youngest child is a stroke survivor and this year he underwent major reconstructive skull surgery. I have no idea what the future holds for him or my family. But when I’m feeling terrified or marginalized or dispirited, I open my grateful heart to the unknown road ahead and trust that we’re all on the right path. Sometimes there is nothing to do but say thank you. Thank you for the mystery. Thank you for the present moment. Thank you for the gift of what lies ahead.
